The new season is here and it's time to get registered for Mooroondu FC!!
The Football Brisbane calendar has been released and we will be starting all trainings very soon, as the roster season commences in March for MiniRoos and Junior Competitions and Over 35s. Senior mens teams will be hitting the park in February. Sign on is available online at www.myfootballclub.com.au or you can visit the clubhouse for more information on Saturday Feb 7 between 2 and 4pm.
We will be fielding teams in the Capital and City league of the Football Brisbane competitions, and two team in the QLD Lions Masters (Over 35s) competitions.
Training has commenced -
Teams for U12 - U15 will be formed once registrations are received. Grading games are only occurring for U12 this season, with other age groups using last year's performance as a guide for Football Brisbane's allocation to divisions. Junior team registrations will be capped at 16 players, once this number is reached, players will be on a waiting list for a second team.
Under 6 and Under 7 players will continue to play in an in-house competition (provided sufficient teams are registered). These games will be on Saturday mornings at WIlliam Taylor Sportfields with Under 6 at 9.30am and Under 7 at 10.15am.
Under 8-Under 11 teams will play in Football Brisbane competitions and will travel to other clubs for the home/away season. We do request that all Mooroondu teams play in Redlands based hubs but we cannot guarantee how Football Brisbane allocate teams to competitions.
MiniRoos football (soccer) is all about fun! It's about the players building skills and having fun with friends wherever possible - if your child wants to play with their friends, we do our best to accommodate this, particularly in the lower age groups. As the children progress through age groups, we do need to consider skill level of teams (and their appropriate competitions) to ensure safety of players, as well as enjoyment.
Our Joeys program will again be run on Saturday mornings at 8.30am for our youngest Roos - those aged 3-5 years. This program aims to have children explore basic skills and techniques through fun activities and game play.
